David Wilkie


David Wilkie, a founding director of Xigo, offers an industry recognised project management track record with major New Zealand and international construction projects.

With extensive project management and high level advisory services experience gained over more than 20 years, David’s project track record includes the SKYCITY New Zealand International Convention Centre, the Auckland Metropolitan Rail Network Improvements, the new Auckland City Hospital and the Auckland War Memorial Museum.

David has been providing technical project delivery, commercial, strategy and procurement advice to his clients since embarking his project management career in 1994. Complex public projects with multiple stakeholders and intricate dependencies and risks are David’s speciality. Of late David’s clients who have sought his services and advice include Auckland Council, KiwiRail, Spark and Urban Partners, SKYCITY, University of Auckland, Auckland International Airport and the Government of Papua New Guinea.

David originally qualified as a civil engineer, before quickly progressing to become a qualified and experienced project manager – a background that continually benefits the projects he directs. He has also managed a public company where he was accountable for company profitability and responsible for 260 staff and an annual turnover AUD$65M.
