Malcolm Sabourin is a Xigo Director and has successfully directed some of New Zealand’s most significant healthcare, capital works and retail infrastructure projects.
With over 30 years’ career experience, Malcolm relishes the opportunity to accept one-of-a-kind challenges that many would put in the ‘too hard’ basket. His ability to look after the needs of multiple stakeholders helps to win repeat business with clients such as SKYCITY, Auckland War Memorial Museum, Auckland Council and numerous health boards.
Malcolm is recognised in the industry for working in a collaborative manner guiding clients, consultants and contractors to achieve the best project outcome. Over the years, he has acquired extensive experience in preparing detailed scope of services which clearly identify the tasks and level of involvement required from consultants to deliver exceptional outcomes.
Having originally qualified as a civil engineer with design training, Malcolm has an impressive track record project managing demanding restoration projects involving landmark historic buildings. His input begins at the feasibility/concept stages and continues until the project successfully crosses the finish line. Design management is an area where Malcolm enjoys guiding diverse groups of technical consultants through the briefing phase and then development of the design with predefined client presentation milestones to ensure expectations are being met.
