Senior Project Manager

James is an experienced Senior Project Manager who has been instrumental in the successful delivery of a number of large value commercial projects.

A skilled communicator and organiser, James is an accomplished project manager with excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills. He is well-versed in client briefing and reverse brief management, design and documentation from concept to construction, implementation of staged decant and construction strategies, contract administration and risk management.

James is currently working with the Auckland War Memorial Museum on the design and delivery of its Future Museum’s Master Plan. This project encompasses strategic design & implementation plans with particular reference to initial projects in years 1-5. It involves the consideration of phasing and sequencing initiatives for building works and gallery renewal projects that span a 20-year period.

Prior to moving into Project Management, James spent over 10 years’ working as an architect, with this experience providing him with an in depth understanding of the complete design process from the client’s brief to the delivery of coordinated documentation and construction through to hand over. Project experience includes the extensive refurbishment projects for the government funded Plant and Food Research’s Mt Albert campus.
