Leighton has a range of experience across construction, project management, property management and property development, acquired within a variety of industry sectors.
An experienced Project Manager, Leighton is an effective communicator, an organised and effective planner with a great eye for detail. He has an ability to manage multiple issues efficiently and comprehensively with his areas of expertise including concept design, fit-out project management, operations, and exiting.
Leighton is currently providing project management services to Tamaki Regeneration Company, where he has been working on the preparation and implementation of a procurement strategy for site clearance of 100 homes. This project deals with asbestos contamination and removal and has required him to work within government sourcing guidelines.
Leighton’s recent roles include acting as external Project Manager for Waitemata District Health Board, and assisting with the procurement stages of an art installation project for the New Zealand International Convention Centre. His wider career experience includes working on behalf of a commercial property developer in Christchurch, establishing and managing key amenities for a large office development.
