Senior Project Manager

An accomplished Senior Project Manager with over 23 years’ experience delivering civil engineering projects both within New Zealand and the UK.

Rachel is a highly dedicated project manager whose experience includes 12 years working for NZTA in various senior project management and civil engineer roles.  Her recent work includes infrastructure project management as well as leadership in the development of tender documents and procurement strategies for major NZTA projects as well as assessing large claims for NZTA’s Engineer to Contract.

With a special interest in procurement, Rachel recently achieved the NZ Certificate in Infrastructure Procurement Procedures.  She also holds Lean Construction and Six Sigma qualifications and has a focus on efficiency and process improvement which she applies to her project work.

Currently Rachel is working for client, Auckland Transport, as Project Manager for the Auckland’s Downtown Ferry Basin Redevelopment.  This role sees her facilitating delivery of a complex, accelerated programme of works co-ordinating activities across several workstreams.

Her wider experience includes contract management experience as Principal and extensive procurement and infrastructure project management experience of large and complex projects working to satisfy the needs of a range of stakeholders. Whilst in the UK, Rachel worked on various significant roading, infrastructure and rail projects, including the Channel Tunnel Rail Link Project, M25 and M1 widening schemes, the West Coast Route Rail Modernisation programme, the Thameslink 2000 Rail Project and the South-Central Rail Project.
