With a background in marine engineering, Scott brings a new perspective to the Xigo team
Scott thrives in a team environment and is adept at leading teams of people through a project, irrespective of backgrounds and experience levels. Coming from an industry that places a large emphasis on aesthetics, functionality and innovation, he brings a new perspective of management to the Xigo team.
His recent project management experience ranges from a client representative role for Metlifecare’s Waitakere Gardens Retirement Village project (184 apartments) to a PM role for the Gibbs Farm art and sculpture maintenance project. He is currently involved in Auckland City Mission’s new 8 storey development for which Xigo is providing full project management and engineer to contract services. This is ongoing and due for completion in 2020.
Scott used his marine engineering qualification to kick start his career in boat-building, quickly transitioning into project management as Project and Design Engineer for Auckland based Manson Anchors, Bowmaster and Manson Marine. Here Scott acquired three years’ experience of leading design teams working on significant marine projects.
