Project description:

The Tamaki Regeneration Company was formed as a partnership between the New Zealand Government and Auckland Council to implement the redevelopment of housing and the management of social housing in Tamaki.

The focus is on developing the current low intensity areas and creating modern communities, delivering thousands of new houses for Auckland.

Our role

Xigo has taken a Development Management role in the delivery of a number of “Small Catalyst” projects.

These projects focus on delivering 10-15 houses, in a range of townhouse and terraced styles. Together with a development partner or Community Housing Partner these may include a variety of Social, Market Affordable or Assisted Affordable housing.

Xigo’s role begins at the start with development of the Project Design Plan and the RFP. We then take an advisory role in the procurement process of the development partner. Once on board, we are representing TRC’s interests in insuring the delivery the project against the agreed development agreement.

The ongoing work with Tamaki Regeneration allows Xigo to utilise the full breath of its skills, through development planning and feasibility, procurement, design and construction.
