Project description:

The development consists of a new residential neighbourhood in Drury, South Auckland on what was rural land. This project is a Special Housing Area under the Housing Accords and Special Housing Areas Act. Auranga A will consist of 1,350 dwellings of various typologies offering a choice of standalone homes, duplexes, terraces and apartments.

Key elements of the development construction include:

  • 85 hectares
  • 1,350 homes with village centre
  • 17 hectares of landscaped public and esplanade reserve land including 3.8 hectare central park.
  • 6kms of cycleways and 5kms of walkways
  • Upgrade of the existing Bremner Road, including two new signalised intersections
  • 1.5km of Bulk Transmission Wastewater infrastructure that includes three pump stations within the development site and connection to the existing Hingaia pump station
  • 1.4km of new Bulk Water infrastructure for a bulk supply point in Drury
  • Construction of new local roading and infrastructure reticulation
  • Offsite pedestrian walking route, road improvements including a new footbridge and construction of a cycleway
  • Full design and construction of a terraced block for use as a sales hub
