Union Green

Client: Myland Partners Ltd

Project description:

Bridging the Central Business District, Freemans Bay and Ponsonby, Union Green comprises of terraced city homes, high rise apartments and retail space.

The landscaping of the development creates unique inner-city living with a ‘green’ element, and open communal spaces. The simplistic interior design of exposed concrete finishes, exposed rafters and open plan living introduced significant coordination between design disciplines.

An Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) approach was used to ensure that the target price for the development was agreed prior to initiating a construction contract and that any buildability issues with the design were addressed during the design process.

The scheme is mixed-use, including a 2 level basement car park, a 13 storey apartment tower (approximately 75 apartments), three 4 storey terrace house blocks (approximately 75 town houses) and four retail spaces.
