Project description:

The Sylvia Park Shopping Centre comprises 200 shops covering 6.5Ha of indoor space.

Construction work began on the development in 2004 and progressed through four stages over a period of four years with the final stage opening in 2007. At the time it was New Zealand’s largest shopping centre.

In addition to the design and construction of the retail complex the project included construction of the Sylvia Park Train Station and the upgrading of major roading and other infrastructure around the site.

Our role

Xigo personnel were engaged as project managers to provide the Sylvia Park Infrastructure - $35m project to construct site infrastructure including extensive bulk earthworks, site roading, carparking and associated drainage, landscaping and lighting.
